Will you need my credit/debit card?

When you buy any services with GenieTalk for the first time, you’ll need to enter your card information to complete the purchase. After the first purchase, GenieTalk will remember your identity and you will not need to re-enter payment details.

Does GenieTalk have a service fee?

GenieTalk will be charging the convenience fee for the offered services.

Is my payment information safe on your site?

Yes. Any information you enter when transacting with GenieTalk.com is sent in a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) session and is encrypted to protect you against unintentional disclosure to third parties.

Where is GenieTalk available?

GenieTalk is available across the globe. You can download the GenieTalk app at App Store and Google Play Store.

How do I register with GenieTalk?

Easy. Download the GenieTalk app. You’ll be asked a few questions. Answer them and you are good to go.

How do I edit my account information?

Ask Genie to edit your information. To do it manually, go on the ‘Profile’ tab and edit.

What is the maximum number of seats I can book?

At one time, a maximum of 10 seats can be booked. For booking more than 10 travelers, you will have to recomplete the booking process for the additional travelers.

Can I book a multi–city trip?

Yes.

Where do I enter my frequent flyer number while booking domestic flights?

Your frequent flyer number needs to be entered while updating the passenger information.

I entered my payment details and hit submit but was redirected to a blank screen. I got charged but don’t have an e–ticket. What now?

We’re sorry for the inconvenience. We’ll call you within twenty four hours and complete this booking offline. We suggest you do not try booking again as you may end up getting charged twice.

Can I book tickets for another person through my account?

Yes. At the time of booking, enter the details of the passenger(s) you want to book for when you’re asked to enter the traveller details.

Do I need to pay any extra fee for web-check in?

No. It’s a privilege for being a GenieTalk customer. This convenience comes to you completely free of cost.

My web check-in has already processed. Can I still cancel/reschedule my trip?

In that case, you will have to go to airline’s website and undo the web check-in. Post that, you can come to GenieTalk and cancel or amend your ticket. Respective cancellation/reschedule charges will apply.

I’ve placed the check-in request. When should I expect the check-in to be completed?

Once the airline opens its web check-in window. In case of a failure, you will be informed of the same 12 hours before the scheduled flight.

I need to cancel my flight, what’s the latest I can do this by?

For domestic - You can cancel your flight 3 hours before the time of departure.

To cancel your reservation within 3 hours of the departure, contact the airline directly for cancellation and only then contact GenieTalk for cancelling your reservation in the GenieTalk system.

For international - You can cancel your flight 48 hours before the time of departure.

To cancel your reservation within 48 hours, you need to contact the airline directly for cancellation and only then contact GenieTalk for cancelling your reservation in the GenieTalk system.

How will I get my money back after a cancellation?

The money will be credited back to the same account you used while making the booking. For example, if you used your credit card, we will make an appropriate charge reversal. If you used your debit card, we will credit the money back to the debit card.

How long does it take to process a refund?

The refund process is usually complete within 4 working days of cancellation. However, it may take slightly longer to reflect in your account statement depending upon your bank.

I need to change my flight reservation?

Domestic flights - Either login to your GenieTalk account and change flight reservation on your own or call us.

International flights - Kindly call us.

Does it cost to make an amendment?

Yes. All amendments come at a fee that varies from airline to airline. In addition to this fee, GenieTalk charges an amendment handling fee per passenger per sector.

These charges are collected from you when we make the changes to your travel plans. Also, the difference in fare, if any, applicable when the amendment is made will also be collected by us.

Can more than two adults stay in one room?

Most hotels allow additional guests to stay in a room for an extra charge as long as the room doesn’t exceed the maximum number of guests allowed per room.

Do our children stay for free?

When making your booking, select the number of children staying with you from the ‘Children’ drop–down box. If you select just 1 child, our search will give you the price of a double room with a child. For an extra bed in the room, you need to increase the number of guests in your search.

I need a specific type of hotel room (non–smoking, wheelchair friendly, etc.)?

We’ll do our best to get you what you ask for. However, your request is ultimately subject to availability when you arrive at the hotel.

What does the price include?

The room price includes all the facilities and inclusions listed under the room type.

How long does it usually take for the hotel to get my booking information?

The time varies by specific hotel and arrival date.

However, in most cases, the hotel should receive the reservation information within 12 hours of the time you made your booking (except for the time when the hotel’s reservation department is closed).

This doesn’t apply to bookings made for the same day.

Do I have to show an ID proof at the time of check–in?

Yes, below are the applicable government issued photo-IDs accepted by the hotel –

Voter ID

Driving License

Passport

A valid Photo ID has to be carried by every person above the age of 18 staying at the hotel.

I need to cancel my hotel booking. What’s the latest I can do this by?

It solely depends on the hotel you have booked. Kindly go through the hotel’s booking policy mentioned on the booking page while making the reservation.

Irrespective of what the hotel’s booking policy says, you cannot cancel your booking on the day that you’re supposed to check–in.

What are the cancellation charges?

The cancellation charges depend on the hotel, time of stay and also, the time of the cancellation. Do check the hotel’s booking policy mentioned on the booking page while making the reservation.

How will I get my money back after cancelling a hotel booking?

How do I modify a hotel booking?

GenieTalk doesn’t support modifications to hotel bookings. Cancel your existing booking and make a new one.

Can I book lounge access regardless of frequent flyer status or class of travel?

Yes, you do not need to be flying in premium class or have a frequent flyer status to book lounge access with GenieTalk.

If it is an airline branded lounge, do I have to be flying with that airline to use the lounge?

No. As long as you book with GenieTalk, you can be departing on any airline and still use the lounge you book. Just be sure that the lounge is located in a Terminal or Concourse accessible to you.

If I purchase a pass from GenieTalk, will the lounge let me in?

Yes, we guarantee your access. All you have to do is present your booking confirmation and boarding pass at the lounge. Some lounges may also request an ID for verification.

Is my pass good for any lounge location or just the specific location that I book for?

When you make a booking, you are purchasing access to the specific lounge displayed on your confirmation. If you visit a lounge that is not the one you booked, you may not be granted access.
